Yu is a turtle 25 years old, who received a pair of prosthetic fins, Suma Aqualife Park in Kobe, western Japan.
Life seemed finished for Yu, who was caught in a fishing net Japanese, five years ago and ended up broken front wing after a brutal encounter with a shark.
Now the owners of an aquarium in the western Japanese city of Kobe looking for a solution that allows the turtle 25 years old, swim again, with years of work and 27 prosthetic fin models, until now, did not work .
Yu was found by a fisherman, and today received help their quality of life improved by implants of artificial fins.
Aquarium staff confirms that the fins have helped Yu to swim as easily as before the accident, a pretty remarkable feat, considering that it is a turtle with a shell over 81 inches long and weighing more 100 kilos.
